Pacific Northwest Baking Co. is seeking a motivated Sanitation Worker with experience in a food manufacturing setting. Previous experience should include working with CIP & COP systems. Excellent benefits and hourly pay: $17.41 per hour (15.67 during 90 day probationary period).

Sanitation Job Description

Applicants must:

· Must be 18 years old and have a HS diploma or equivalent.  

· Be able to read, write, and understand the English language.  

·  Be able to efficiently work in a team environment, and communicate effectively with coworkers and department heads.

·  Have the ability to climb ladders and work in high places that may extend beyond 20 feet without difficulties. 

·  Be able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends, and varying shifts including working overtime at short notice as required by the employer. 

· Be able to perform duties in adverse lighting conditions and work in confined spaces and areas where the temperature is at or near 110 degrees for extended periods of time.  

·  Be able to work in dusty environments and in wet, hot, and cold environments for extended periods of time.  

·  Maintain sanitary conditions throughout the plant, inside and out and follow detailed cleaning schedule assignments and times.

· Must be able to work with chemicals and know the proper use of them along with proper safety equipment.  

· Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and pallet jacks while following safety guidelines set by PNWB.  Training is available.  

· Able to lift 50 lbs.

Job Qualifications:

Must be able to work with various cleaning tools along with chemicals and be able to move weighted objects.

Types of Machines, Tools, and Special Equipment used:

·  Nozzles and hoses for water, air and chemical application.

·  Counter-type brushes, floor and overhead cleaning brushes, and cleaning style brushes used ·  for scrubbing equipment.

·  Hose-connected hand-held air and water generated device for application of thick chemical ·  cleaning foam for equipment and machinery.

·  Squeegees, including hand and floor styles, mop and mop bucket, spray bottles and rags.

·  Extended poles for overhead and internal tank cleaning: 6 ft. up to extended length of 16 ft.

·  Pressure washer, painting tools and various handheld tools.

·  Vacuum cleaners and pneumatic vacuums for the removal of water and dry materials.

·  Bun hook: a  curved metal rod with a handle that is used for lifting various lightweight items.

·  Wheeled hydraulic hoist with manual control to assistin lifting, lowering and moving equipment.

·  Rakes, shovels, dustpans, and barrels on wheeled casters

·  Keys to access offices, and paper dispensers in facilities' bathrooms.

· Part-time positions do not include medical or dental benefits, but do include holiday, vacation, safety incentive pay, and 401K participation.  

A pre-employment physical, hearing test, and drug test are required.
